Description SoundRacer
Would you like to have a Ferrari or another great car, but can't afford it? Unfortunately, neither can we - but we have the SoundRacer for you! It's a bargain compared to a Ferrari - and with it you can at least enjoy the sound of a huge engine! It even gives a Twingo, Corsa or Fiesta the sound of a full-blown sports car.
This is how it works: You simply plug the SoundRacer into your car's cigarette lighter and set it to a free radio frequency. The rich sound of a high-performance engine then pours out of your car's loudspeakers.
However, this is not simply a uniform engine noise - the SoundRacer translates the speed of your engine into that of a larger one. So when you accelerate or take your foot off the accelerator, the corresponding sounds also come out of the radio, because the SoundRacer recognizes fluctuations in the battery voltage that are related to the engine speed.
Depending on which horsepower monster you want to emulate, you can choose between two SoundRacer models:
The SoundRacer V8 provides you with the unmistakable sound of classic muscle cars, so that you can turn any country road, no matter how small, into an American highway.
The SoundRacer X even gives you the choice between different sounds: the 1 GB SD card supplied already contains 6 engine profiles that you can use to get started straight away. In addition to the classic V8, V10 and V12, you can also experience the soundscape of a Japanese racing car and even American V-twins and sports motorcycles. You can also add more sounds to personalize your driving experience!
No matter which SoundRacer you choose: You always get the right sound for your driving style ;)
The SoundRacer also offers a great side effect for car radios without an aux input: it has a 3.5mm stereo jack input. This allows you to transmit music from your mp3 player to the radio via the SoundRacer instead of the engine noise. A suitable extension cable (50cm) is supplied for this purpose.
The manufacturer provides a list on its website that already contains tested car models already tested.
